Soprano Canan Özgür, a graduate of Robert College in İstanbul, did her opera master and doctorate studies at İstanbul University National Conservatory. She studied with Prof. Güzin Gürel for her master degree and Prof. Şebnem Ünal for her doctorate degree. She gave concerts in International Summer Academy at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna. She performed in the opera production “Elisir D’amore” of the Conservatory Arrigo Boito di Parma in Italy, where she studied within the Erasmus program. She sang as the soloist in Turkey premiere of Karl Jenkins “Stabat Mater” with İstanbul European Choir and Orchestra PrusArt conducted by Cemi’i Can Deliorman. She performed on prestigious stages such as Borusan Music House, Aya İrini Museum, Avusturya Culture Office, Cemal Reşit Rey Concert Hall, Cumhurbaşkanlığı Senfoni Orkestrası Concert Hall, Aksanat, Zorlu Center PSM. Besides her musical education, she graduated from Boğaziçi University Chemical Engineering bachelor degree and Boğaziçi University Computational Sciences and Engineering master degree as research assistant.
She is the board member of Choir Culture Association which represents Europa Cantat Federation in Turkey. She has performed in various countries with A Capella Boğaziçi since 2015. She worked as a lecturer at Biruni University Speech and Language Therapy program and gave singing lessons Yeditepe University. She released her first single "Çalın Davulları" with the arrangement of Merih Aşkın. Since 2019, she has worked as an associate professor at İstanbul University State Conservatory opera, musical and Turkish music program and since 2020 at Medipol University.
